The NLCS Vision-Mission-Objective Statement
Vision Statement
We, the seminarians of the Nativity of Our Lady College Seminary envision ourselves as a community living based on a profound relationship with God (living, that is, a life centered on the Eucharist) and on integral human formation with personal responsibility as emphasis, focused on the attainment of academic excellence and internalization of the value of brotherhood and sensitivity to the needs of the people in order for us to fully understand the nature and extent of our vocation and thus live as Christian Leaders of the Diocese of Borongan.
Mission Statement
The AB Philosophy Program aims to produce graduates who have achieved academic excellence, appreciation for the arts, zeal for quest of truth and love of wisdom by harnessing the capacity for logical , analytical and critical thinking based on the principle of Christian Education and imbued with the Gospel values, in order to equip them with the suitable and necessary knowledge geared towards the challenges of the new millennium, especially in the development of the human life and service for the poor.
Objectives
- To form students as human beings by sharpening their judgment and refining their appreciation of wisdom.
- To critically reflect the traditional fields of philosophy: Logic, Epistemology, Ethics, Rational Psychology, Cosmology, Metaphysics, and Natural Theology among others.
- To understand the different problems, so that students can discern the truth, defect error and refuge it.
- To prepare the students for theological studies and for the right performance of their apostolic ministry which requires them to be properly trained in dialogue of their day and age.
